Please follow all CDC guidelines regarding cleanliness when at all possible. Ensure your work areas are sanitary and pay close attention to those areas/pieces of equipment that are shared by several people-always sanitize between uses. Limit meetings with large groups of people.

  • What the Department has done to adhere to CDC guidelines:
    • All meetings and events involving the community have been cancelled
    • The Records and Fingerprint Bureau, as well as area command front offices, have been closed
    • All training, with exception of the academy, has been stopped for two weeks and will be re-evaluated on April 1, 2020
    • Extra cleaning is being completed at all LVMPD facilities with an added cleaning crew coming to all 10 area commands
  • What the Department is requesting:
    • To the best of your ability, practice social distancing-no handshaking, high-fiving, etc…
  • You have already been directed to report any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 to your supervisor and remain at home. ***Reminder, Sheriff Lombardo has authorized employees who fall ill during this time to use any source of time they choose (i.e., sick, vacation, bonus, floating holiday, personal day) without penalty.***
    • If you believe you have been exposed to the virus while working or feel symptomatic, follow the flowcharts authored by Health and Safety
