LVPPA Out in Force on New Year’s Eve
More than 330,000 revelers rang in 2018 on the Strip, and nearly 1,500 law enforcement officers were on duty over the three-day holiday weekend to ensure their safety. PPA Executive Board members were there, too, handing out coffee, snacks and items like hand warmers to officers. “This was the first time the PPA has ever done something like this for New Year’s,” President Steve Grammas said. “It was a success but we have more to do next year.”
A Day at the Park
LVPPA joined Matt Donaldson in celebrating Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. The January 13 event at Police Memorial Park featured police and military unit displays as well as food trucks, games and raffles.
