On May 7, LVPPA joined County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick and educators to host a special ice cream party for the students at Helen Herr Elementary School. The PPA helped serve approximately 700 ice cream sundaes to students, who were celebrating the power of reading. PPA members spent time talking to students, encouraging them to finish the school year strong. In a thank-you letter to the PPA, Commissioner Kirkpatrick said, “Our interactions with the community continue to make a positive impact on students’ lives and inspire them to aim high.” The PPA was proud to work together with the Commissioner and educators to make a positive impact on the youth in our community.
