Southern Nevada torch run welcomes Special Olympics Nevada

LAS VEGAS – Over 200 hundred runners pounded the pavement Friday for the annual southern Nevada Law Enforcement Torch Run.

The event is to welcome the Special Olympics Nevada summer games, which starts in two weeks in Reno. The games torch passed through the Raiders stadium site. 

Friday’s running route started in the morning hours at the Hoover Dam and will end at Nellis Air Force Base.
