Today we honor Police Officer Clark Anthony Wooldridge, who died on this day in 1979.
Officer Wooldridge joined the LVMPD in August 1978. While responding to a fight and accident call on August 12, 1979, he was involved in a collision. He was pinned underneath the overturned vehicle and subsequently died at the hospital. The fight and accident call that led to this officer’s untimely death turned out to be a false alarm.
Officer Wooldridge was only 22 years old when he died and was survived by his wife of less than two years.
