On February 7, 2025, Police Officer Jeremy Labonte of the Roswell (GA) Police Department was killed in the line of duty.

Officer Labonte responded to a report of a suspicious person call. As he approached the subject of the call, the savage brandished a gun and shot Officer Labonte, mortally wounding him.

Jeremy was 24 years old and had been a cop for three years and three months. He is survived by his wife, parents, sisters, nephew and grandparents.

Godspeed, brother.
