Congratulations to LVMPD Officer DuWayne Layton, honored today as the City of Las Vegas’ “Citizen of the Month” for December, 2016. Officer Layton is about to retire, after an amazing career serving and protecting the people of Las Vegas. As a member of LVMPD’s elite K9 unit, Officer Layton has been involved in many dangerous situations, including one that earned him the department’s Medal of Valor last year.
