Congratulations to Las Vegas Metro Police Officer David Sazer, who retired last week after serving the LVMPD and our community for 27 years.

LVPPA President Steve Grammas and Executive Director Bryan Yant recently had an opportunity to visit with Dave after his retirement.

On December 16, 2024, Detention Officer Isaiah Bias of the Ellis County (TX) Sheriff’s Office was killed in the line of duty.

Officer Bias was transferring an inmate to his cell when he was attacked and killed.

Isaiah was 28 years old and had been an officer for nearly seven years. He is survived by his mother, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Godspeed, brother.
