Vegas Police Seeking Man Who Aided Ambushed Officer

Hoping to offer their thanks, Las Vegas Metro police released surveillance video Monday of a person they say rushed to the aid of an officer who was shot in the hand during an ambush earlier this month.

According to Metro, the unidentified person pulled up to a store parking lot near the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue on Sept. 6 at 12:12 p.m. About that time just yards away, Officer Thomas Clevinger was shot in the hand while he and another officer were waiting inside their marked vehicle at a stoplight.
