On December 14, 2024, Sergeant Rick Finley of the McNairy County (TN) Sheriff’s Office was killed in the line of duty.

Sergeant Finley arrived on a suspicious person call to find a suspect attempting to break into a house. The savage attacked Sergeant Finley, shooting and mortally wounding him.

Rick was 39 years old and has been a cop for 13 years. He also served our nation in the United States Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife and children.

Godspeed, brother.

Congratulations to LVMPD Police Officer Jeremy “Jake” Landers, who retired last Friday after serving Las Vegas Metro and our community for over 21 years.

LVPPA Executive Director Gregory Stinnett had the privilege of presenting Jake with a plaque on behalf of a grateful association.
